2nd Annual Spring and Summer Recreation Show Taking Place May 5th and 6th
Remember back to the times in your life when you first discovered just how great the outdoors was as a youngster, the excitement of taking that first walk in the woods, breathing in the fresh air, swimming, boating, kayaking, hunting, or fishing—and all of the other wonderful discoveries you made along the way while doing them? Those times are memories to all of us; they are also never meant to stop as we age. Here in Allegany County we want you to continue to make those same kinds of recreational memories as an adult. It doesn’t matter if you make them for yourself, or with family and friends, but please do make them!
The seasons of warmth and plenty of sun are finally making their appearance throughout Allegany County, which also means there are plenty of opportunities out there waiting for all of you to enjoy. Mark your calendar now to make your way to Angelica, NY, where Allegany County’s 2nd Annual Spring and Recreation Show will soon take place. It all happens on May 5th and 6th, and there’s plenty of vendors coming to grab everyone’s interests.
Perhaps the best part of the two-day event is that it is totally FREE. Unlike other shows in other counties which may charge an admission fee, ours doesn’t. It’s family-friendly, so bring the kids along too.
Many vendors will be on hand to assist you with whatever your needs may be. From boating, camping, lawncare equipment, four wheeling adventure information, and snacks and supplies to take on your outings, you will find something of interest to check out at your leisure.
There’s also Grand Stand Shows both days of Jim Beverly’s Retriever Dog Training, the Eagle Dreams Raptor Show, and the New York State Police K-9 Show.
In the Milton Jennings Building you will find Woodpecker Wood Crafts, Buffalo Bob Snack Sticks, Allegany County Scope, First-N-Ten, Armstrong Communications, Southern Tier Outdoor Show, Verizon, Inspire, Evergreen Trails Campground, Cattaraugus County Tourism, Burning Asphalt Sauces, Cutco, Cornell Cooperative, Allegany Mountain Resort, Bee-You-Tiful with Becky, Bobcat of Olean, R&K Marina, Wellsville Country Club, David Rogg Stretch Bottles, Braymiller Builders, Tall Pines, Maple Hill Blades, Hoffbeats Designs, Milk House Country Crafts, LeafFilter, Tupperware, Amsoil, and R.S. Maher & Son. Located outside on the grounds is Snow Hill, Burt Young, and the Babbage Food Truck (for when you find yourself a little hungry).
It all happens at the Allegany County Fairgrounds in Angelica on May 5th and 6th. Saturday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm; Sunday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Come on out and see what you’ll find, and enjoy the company of others who enjoy the great outdoors as much as you do. Maybe make some new friends along the way.
If you are interested in being a vendor yourself there’s still a few spaces left but time is running out. Just click on the PDF file for an application and booth pricing and follow instructions to process. Not sure of something? Give us a call: 585-268-5500.
